Overcharging and anti-military – Very disappointed in this place. The staff were rude and bouncers terribly interfering. Also they were very unfriendly towards the military. Two of my friends had recently returned from deployments and met up as they hadn't seen each other in years. One of the regulars though he would try and score some points lying about his military service.... needless to say the situation was not handled very well. AVOID AFTER 9:00 WHEN THIS PLACE TURNS INTO A NIGHT CLUB - MOST UNPROFESSIONAL / DISRESPECTFUL BOUNCERS IN YBOR CITY - – The bouncers at this club are overzealous $8/hour roided up idiots. After having a quick dinner with my family (and not drinking), I left with my iced tea in my hand. The bouncer told me that I couldnt leave with my drink (in a plastic to-go cup). Tasty food and great prices, nice live music – I had read some reviews, and while on vacation, coerced two of my friends to go with me to the Green Iguana for dinner one evening. We were seated at a small table with high chairs, which was OK after we got used to it. However, we were cramped near a little wall right next to a Ms. PacMan arcade and a pool table. THE BEST BAR AND GRILL IN TAMPA – I have been going to the green iguana for almost seven years, and in that time I have had the time"s" of my life. I have met so many awsome people that I now call friends. I would highly recommend the place to anyone.
Like a chameleon, the Iguana changes from burger-eating lunchery to beer-guzzling dancery. – The Scene Around for more than a decade, the Green Iguana works hard as a restaurant by day, a bar by night. THE Iguana – Go to the ORIGINAL Green Iguana on South Westshore to eat, drink, and shoot pool. Go to the Green Iguana in Ybor City to party. Both have good food but the S. Westshore is a great beach bar without the beach.
Yummy to my tummy! – It is true, they have the best burger. Also it is a nice atomsphere to be in and watch people go by at Ybor City. The wings aren't to shabby either. Yum...
too small n crowded – This place is way too small even with the expansion,you are either out of the crowd/bar access/able to see band or you are pretty much in a mosh pit
Eclectic! – Good music, interesting beach bar, varied crowd. Definitely a Florida experience.
