Jen and Ian were exceptional hosts who went above and beyond for our family when our 14 year old had to have surgery at the near by Wesley hospital and stay there for a week. Green Gables was convenient as it was a 5 minute walk to the hospital and also close to near by major shopping malls, as well as restaurants and take aways. Having somewhere of our own where we could wash our clothes, cook a meal if wanted and somewhere to rest peacefully, made all the difference while we were enduring such a stressful time! We had a fantastic long weekend stay at Green Gables Auchenflower. The cottage is lovely—beautifully presented, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The location is excellent, just a short walk to great coffee shops, the train station, and close to the City. Hosts Jen and Ian were absolutely wonderful—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with communication and information. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming and convenient place to stay in Brisbane! We look forward to staying again.

Recently stayed at the lovely Green Gables cottage in Auchenflower. So greatful to hosts Ian and Jen for going out of their way to make my stay comfortable and happy. What I loved most was the front verandah and the openness of the cottage that seemed to bring the outside in. The location is so central. A beautiful place. I cannot wait to stay again.
