Dishonest. I first hired Green Energy in 2024 for a general Maintenance Tune-up and 1 year contract on an 10 year old Central AC Unit. The technician informed me that my system was low on Freon and needed to be topped off. He indicated he did not know if it was because it was never fully topped off when installed (not by Green Energy) or if it had a leak. I called Green Energy 2 or 3 years ago for an estimate, which was extremely high and we ended up going with another contractor. Since then, I've received automated text message spam from "Rachel" offering discounts and coupons. There is no effective means of opting-out of this spam, which is very disrespectful.
Tom came early this morning as promised to replace my water heater. He worked diligently all day. He had to first drain and remove the old one; go to the distributor to get the new one; then install and check the new one. Three things stand out: Tom carefully explained what he was doing; he worked very well with his assistant, especially when moving the very heavy heaters out of and into our basement; lastly, he left the basement clean and dry. I appreciate his efforts and attitude.
Green Energy Mechanical recently came out to our house to give an estimate to fix the AC on the 2nd floor of our house which had recently stopped working. Given it’s almost summer, we were in a bind. The estimate to repair just the 2nd floor AC was $12k. Green Energy said the compressor needed to be replaced as well as the motor on the air handler.
