I stopped here because I wanted a seafood meal that felt different from the usual sit-down restaurant experience, and this place definitely has its own personality. Place is great. Very generous portions and fresh.
Be prepared to wait in the queue but it’s well worth it. Staff will guide you through what’s good and get good and drinks to you quickly even though they are always super busy. Crab back with bread is delicious. Half a dozen eggs was such a great finishing dish with the little spice it offered. All of the seafood is super fresh and well presented.
Came here solo on a Tuesday, got in line at 10:15am, 30 minutes before they open at 10:30. There were already 12 people ahead of me. By 10:35 line was around the corner. This place is tiny, like 18 stools only, right on the counter. You sit next to strangers. I ordered the combo cracked crab and shrimp Louie, plus 6 oysters - 3 Kumamoto and 3 Miyagi. Bill was $78.
