As a therapist, Greater Hope is one of my go-to referrals for clients who need a higher level of care or would benefit from group services. My clients consistently report positive experiences and meaningful progress in treatment. I've also attended trainings through Greater Hope and always leave feeling better equipped as a clinician. I didn’t feel the staff had the flexibility or perspective needed for more complicated situations. The program seemed focused on a single method without much room for adjustment. My experience didn’t reflect the level of understanding I was told to expect at the onset.
Definitely avoid this place if you have any PTSD or complex trauma that exists with your OCD. They will try to force standard ERP onto it without having any nuance for how trauma changes the dynamic...but at least they say they do! Poor grasp of how habituation works in these situations. Greater Hope for OCD provides life changing treatment. In addition, they help you create a community around you that can walk through the journey with you! I highly recommend their IOP program, as it was a great way to not only overcome the struggle, but also surround yourself with those who understand. Don't let cost be a barrier to proper treatment for OCD. I did that for years, but realized that I needed to invest in proper OCD specialized treatment.
