The issues people face in life are not always things they can handle alone, and many times they are not their fault. It is frustrating constantly reaching out for help, guidance, or legal assistance only to hit dead ends over and over again. Absolutely useless. I was told there's a conflict of interest with their office and that was it! I'm 66 have a contract with Efren Gomez that he defaulted on May 1, 2025 to the tune of almost 100k...elder abuse, fraud and ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT AT ALL HERE!

I am a Grubhub driver. The customer placed an order from Baja Fresh on Ming Avenue through the Marketplace. The name on the order was Anna P. I arrived at the delivery address, 615 California Avenue, and handed the order directly to the customer. However, I did not receive payment because the customer, listed as Anna P. or Annacelli P., reported that the order was not received.

Review for GBLA (Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance): I’m very disappointed with my experience at GBLA. Every time I’ve called or asked for help, I’ve been dismissed or passed around. I’m a low-income tenant trying to follow the proper legal steps, but instead of receiving clear guidance or compassion, I’ve been told things like “we don’t handle that” with no direction on where to go next.
