Wish I had read all these reviews sooner. What a waste of money. These phones are SO "not" user friendly. You have to go through 10 steps to do one thing. You are SO limited on features. You cannot arrange your favorites list. There are So many downsides to this phone. My mom who is 75 had a horrible time navigating the phone and it was so unuserfriendly I had a hard time even helping her. So back to Apple! Lively ... sorry but you suck!
I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER WITH LIVELY FOR MANY YEARS. I DECIDED TO UPGRADE TO THEIR JITTERBUG SMART 4. THIS COST ME LIKE $170.00 FOR THIS NEW PHONE. THIS TRANSACTION TOOK PLACE ON 2/2/2004. THIS PHONE COULD NOT BE ACTIVATED AFTER SPENDING 2 HOURS USING A FRIENDS PHONE. THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO ACTIVATE IT FROM ANOTHER PHONE WHICH I DID NOT HAVE. ANYWAY, THIS PHONE COULD NOT BE ACTIVATED. Lively should be ashamed of themselves. For a company that advertises itself as senior-friendly, and "dial 0 for a live operator," it is NOT TRUE! The 0 function takes you to an automated system; to get a human, you need to wait at least 20 minutes. We got a Jitterbug flip phone for my elderly mother, and it was not properly activated. We had to go through the long process with clueless customer support people multiple times. Finally upon cancellation, they declined to send a return shipping label. Total scam. Lively’s service did not work for me. The problem is switching the current phone number to Lively service/Jitterbug phone. The easiest part of the process was signing up, after that it has not worked. The concept of a phone for seniors is excellent. I tried to get one for my mother-in-law. While I’m not super techie, I function in the modern world.
