We visited Great Wolf Lodge Gurnee for my son’s 5th birthday and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Despite prepaying through Groupon, we were charged again for the stay and had multiple holds placed on both my debit card and my husband's card. The $259.92 charge was mislabeled as dining, adding to the confusion. On top of the billing issues, the whole experience felt like a series of confusing add-ons. Everything was great until the bedbugs. Maintained confirmed. Definitely bedbugs. We ended up moving rooms, but I'm terrified we will bring them home.
Not worth the price. They don't clean up the snow and it was a constant problem with the wristbands.
Great Wolf Lodge is a fantastic place. There are so many things for kids to do. The water park is in great shape and a one night stay gets you 2 days in the waterpark. The arcade is fun and the climbing wall/mini-golf/high ropes course is awesome too! Only negative is that it's very expensive. Look for deals and take advantage of discounts and sales.
