When I retired I rolled my investments from Empower to my private account, closingmy Empower account. I was charged approximately $200 administrative fee through Empower. An audit was recently conducted and an error was found, resulting in additional funds! Wonderful except I'm being charged an additional $200 on a mistake they made because they didn't discover it for over 180 days. This is not a regulatory fee.

I would give 0 stars if i could. Customer service is dismal. Their poor technology isn't capable of performing simple routine tasks forcing you to have to call customer service. This process which should be completing in seconds first requires significant time on hold. Today i've been on hold for 60 minutes. I am stuck with them as they are my employer's 401K provider, if you have a choice for your personal investing, i would highly recommend you go with a company that values their customers.

I had posted a bad review because I was having a hard time getting a hardship withdrawal approved after submitting a lot of paperwork; however, once I asked for a supervisor, I got Justin and he helped me out. He made it happen and my withdrawal was approved. I wish all companies would have a Justin working for them. I appreciate him so much!!!
