I could not be more pleased with the care and service Dr. Smith and his staff provide. I know my beloved pet is always in good hands with the care received at Great Oaks. I was very impressed with the care and respect shown me and my cat during our first pandemic visit. Their procedures to care for me and my pet were exceptional.
Just wanted to share my experience with the vet. I questioned him charging another office visit to change a drug that wasn't working and I was banned for life. I didn't even bring my dog with me, but still a charge. Apologies given, not accepted. Be careful what you say to this guy.
I enjoyed such a long relationship of trust and faith with veterinarian Dr. Katherine Lawrence of Brighton Animal Hospital, wow...she was our fur family doc for nearly 40 years! When she retired last year, I really felt kinda lost, even though I adore all the other folks at BAH...THEN, I met Dr. Chuck Smith and his wonderful staff at Great Oaks Vet Clinic in South Lyon, in the plaza at 10 mile and Rushton Rd, and found that, miraculously, I was even already acquainted with his terrific vet tech Diane Schenkel...huge relief!!... read more

We just adopted a dog and asked friends who they liked in the area and all of them said go to Great Oak. Today we went for a meet and greet and the were great with me and our new fur baby.
They are the best. We really appreciate Dr. Smith and his staff.
my family had to say goodbye to one of our dearest old friends. Great Oaks gave us the time to say our goodbyes that we needed and completely understood the pain we were going through. I never felt rushed. They were truly so caring. On top of that, with all of my other pets they have cared and treated them with love and with out judgement. I can not speak more highly of this veterinary clinic.
Dr. Smith and his staff at Great Oaks are amazing! I just moved to South Lyon, and I needed to find a vet for my lovable dog. I took him in and we both loved the place! Dr. Chuck is very nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The clinic is clean and everything is very well-run. I will certainly be going back to Great Oaks for all of my best friend's needs!
