If you need a bank, go elsewhere. Anywhere. I'm visiting Madison and needed to change a $100 bill for five $20 bills. You would think a bank could exchange one denomination of US currency for another without question. In fact in my mind that is pretty much a major function of a bank. However, since I was not a customer of this bank, and why would I be when I don't even live in the midwest, the bank refused my request.
