Sent the boys out for my Father in laws Birthday. Great lakes were awesome. With such a large family it's always pretty chaotic and we're always running late or waiting on another person. Great lakes helped us come back into the dock to pick up my son who was coming in from college late. I highly recommend Great Lakes Water Sports. My sister and I went out yesterday. She rented a kayak from them and I brought my own. They could not have been nicer to us. Especially the fact that I wasn’t spending any money. They carried my kayak for me and even helped me launch. They do ask that you tip the dock hands. Great location for downtown views. It was a great experience.
Went out today with a friend that had her own and the staff was amazing! They helped her take hers down to the water and helped her in. Everyone was so kind and tentative.
Amazing staff, easy clear directions even in this uncertain time. My son (10 years old) and I had a blast taking the tandem kayak out on the river and seeing the sites. We even were warned about the choppy waves on the lake because we weren't experienced. I will definitely be back!

I would not recommend this business. We rented one of their tritoon boats and had a poor experience - the sunshade did not lower, they gave us incorrect instructions on the trim which caused the boat to stop/go slower, and three people confirmed we could make it to Avon Lake and Lorain in 2 hours and we couldn’t even make it to Bay Village (we wanted to go to Lorain and take a pic of my grandma who lives on the lake; looks like they updated their website after my initial google review). Heather. Really? The owner's wife? What is this? The 1900s? The wife owns the place. We would not change our website due to one review Since early June the front page of our web site states "You can drive our boats from Lakewood to Brathtenal; no further." You used 20 gallons of gas. We only charged you for 10 saving you $40. Recording all conversations sounds like a great idea. We do need to know if we make mistakes. We need to learn from them.
