Love the atmosphere there! Love the set up. Every artist said hello and were very friendly! Eric did a great job on my tattoo in memory of my mom.
Not your typical tattoo shop. Great artists and if you don’t know what you want there is a million pieces of flash to pick from.
Absolutely the best in chicago. Every tattooer in that spot is incredible! I prefer my work be done by Chip Douglas for his experience with larger pieces and attention to detail. ;) Great Lakes Tattoo is legendary

Spur of the moment tattoo. We picked Great Lakes based on reviews. Walked in and was in and out in about a hour. Gotten a lot of compliments on my new ink. Eric was fantastic.
Very unfriendly!!!!!! Walked in last week said like to know how much would cost, was told to sit, which was ok because they where helping others, BUT then two good looking girls come in, yes I'm male, and he takes care of them right them and there looks at me but says and nothing. After done with them still nothing. I walk out never to return, there are many competitors for me to go to.
my husband and I walked in to get tattoos. they were very welcoming very nice and very professional. both tattoo artists did and amazing job on our clock piece we had. when we come back to Chicago we will definitely go back.
