Ashley was my doula and it was an absolutely amazing experience! She is the best. My birth experience was wonderful and i highly credit her.
I cannot say enough great things about Great Lakes Doulas. Mandi was our doula and provided so much support during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. I sat in Mandi’s office crying on more than one occasion, trying to work through emotions related to a previous birth and while expressing my hopes for our second labor and delivery. We had such a complex pregnancy and birthing experience. We interviewed a few different Doulas to see who would be the best fit for our family and our specific journey and each woman we met was so so kind and knowledgeable! Their team is full of such special talents and offers a whole package of care and support for mothers and newborns and honestly the whole family! We had a fantastic expirence with Great Lakes Doulas, specfically Ashley Fernlund. I wish I could go back and tell myself during our first pregnancy to hire a doula- it made an incredible difference. It took the pressure off of myself and my husband to have to remember pain management techniques, how to think through suggestions from the hospital staff, and having another person who was 100% supportive of whatever I needed or wanted was an incredibly important blessing.
