This is just a business. Total lack of patient- centered care and communication. Very frustrating and sad this is the medical service we are now dealing with in NY. 1) your “call center” and wait times are RIDICULOUS. It is impossible to contact a nurse or actual knowledgeable in-office person for information . Stop outsourcing patient care and service. Had to get my own MRI results as no one called me. It’s been 5 weeks. Office said they never got it which was strange. So I had to send my MRI results to them. I’ve called 3 times, was promised a call back…still waiting.. I let the office know I had a serious question about meds I was taking due to MRI results. I’m very frustrated and let down because I have always had good care over the years up until now.
Great lakes cardio is the absolute worst. Dr called once to tell me I need a defibrillator. To call and make an appointment for consultation. I have called several times just to get a recording to leave message. It's been weeks since dr called. Hold time is totally unacceptable 30+ minutes every time. Took them over a week to call in my blood thinner meds after 5 calls. They totally ignore the pharmacy request. Final thought. GREAT LAKES CARDIO SUCKS! AVOID AT ALL COST! The doctors are great but the attention to detail is lacking. I have activated my portal several times only for it to lock me out over and over again. It is impossible to contact anyone in the office. If you call you'll be caller number 25 and if you wait you'll be disconnected. The email on their website doesn't work, and neither does their submission form. One time I drove 45 minutes to go to the office to have an issue resolved as I had no other way of contacting them.
