Green Island is beutiful6,000-year-old coral island on the Great Barrier Reef. Many people love easy beach snorkelling, but on thos occasion we have not done it. It didn't look warm enough. Rainforest is a unique. Quick 45-minute catamaran did take us from Cairns. It is one of the only sand cays in the entire Great Barrier Reef to support a lush, native tropical rainforest environment. We have been happy with Great Adventure team from the beginning to the end. They have easily changed our return from 4.30 pm to 2.30.pm.

We did the Green Island and Outer Barrier Reef package and enjoyed every minute of it. Went on the back but of the second floor that was directly exposed to the sea. When we stopped at Green Island, we picked up snorkel gear and snorkeled on the little reef off the beach there, and saw loads of fish and other creatures. There is also a pool you can use there and plenty of restaurants, along with a crocodile park and lots of walks through the rainforest. We then boarded the boat and went inside for seating in the boat, as the... read more

Even though windy, and quite rough was a nice place to visit and snorkel, seen lots of fish and a couple of turtles, even though stayed on small sheltered beach on north side. Crew on boat and island very friendly and knowledgeable

If you get seasick then a boat like this is so much better than something small, we had a rough trip but still okay. Wasn't over booked/crowded which made the activities more enjoyable. Enjoyed the semisubmersible tour and the freedom of snorkelling. Communication over the speakers quite bad, didn't really get guidance on how, what, where, they tried but it was inaudible. Lunch was very average, odd food choices so take snacks just in case as its a long day. Would book again and just be more prepared!

Saw a whale on our way to Green Island. Plenty of spots on boat and took some medicine beforehand as still can get seasick. This beach was actually clear water you could swim in at the beach so definitely recommend it. The glass bottom boat tour was great as we didn't want to snorkel so we got quite a view of the reef, and fish including a black tipped reef shark. Lots of green sea turtles by the dock you can see without getting in the water. Recommend getting a locker when there which isn't too expensive. The rainforest wal... read more
