About this time a year ago today I received the call from the nursing home that dad was unresponsive. This began my next 3 days of camping out in dad’s room knowing his time was near. The nurses and CNAs gave him great care that weekend (as they always did). Absolutely despicable! Stopped in to see my old client today and his treatment is beyond ridiculous! He was in the dining hall eating lunch. His oxygen wasn’t on right, they didn’t give him a napkin or bib so he had food all over himself and no way to wipe it up. The staff was rude. One of the kitchen attendants came and picked up 2 other plates on his table , looked right at him and saw he obviously needed a napkin or something to wipe his hands face and shirt off.. I love this place my mom has been there since thanksgiving and she has improved a lot. I hope she keeps improving so she can go home to her house and finish her life out there instead of outside the home. If she has to be in a place this place is the one. great place great staff.
