I received a quote to fix and tighten up some spindles on four solid oak chairs. I was told that they take them totally apart and re-glue the spindles. When I got the chairs back I found that they had drilled holes and put in screws in all of the spindles. I thought that when you restore a piece of furniture, that you would bring in back to the original condition. Also one of the seats in one chair had fresh cracks that ran totally through the chair.
