Dr Graves took care of my baby in 1984 at Ochsner. Anneliese was on ECMO and I was in Georgia. My mom was with her. Dr Graves was so sweet and kind which was wonderful but also very dedicated to her care. He was a blessing and much appreciated. Thank you!
I had appointment today at 10:15 and I live two hours from Austin. We left in plenty of time and, as we pulled in to Luling, the phone rang and it was Graves’s office telling me he didn’t do prolapses any longer so they needed to cancel. I told them that was not my main concern which I had told the lady yesterday when I made the appointment. I stated my main concern and she told me he didn’t do rectal burning either! surgical follow up was very good and Dr. Graves personally saw that the preparation for the procedure was complete beforehand. Good guy doing a tough job with focused attention on the patient. In the complicated world of cancer treatment, Dr. Graves is efficient and has a calming presence that gives confidence to his patience.
Dr. Graves is a well experienced surgeon and he made an accurate diagnosis the very first time I visited the clinic (my primary physician had misdiagnosed my condition and had sent me to the clinic for a specialist's opinion). He was really kind, and had an excellent bedside manner. He explained my condition very clearly, walked me through my treatment and answered all my questions patiently. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for a professional colo-rectal surgeon.
If you are looking for a colorectal surgeon then you have a very serious decision to make. You need an experienced, professional, and thorough Dr. in these situations. I made the decision to put my care in the hands of Dr. Graves. I was impressed with the competence and confidence of Dr. Graves at every step of the procedure. My post op healing has been much better than I could have expected. I truly feel that since my condition was corrected by Dr. Graves that I have my life back!
Dr. Graves conducted my surgery for hemorrhoids about 5 years ago and made himself readily available after hours when I had some issues right afterwards. His work was excellent and this surgery changed my life. Dr. Graves was very informative before, during and after the procedure. He is reserved in character, but is extremely knowledgeable and careful. I went to two other doctors, who may well have misled me based upon their diagnoses. I am so glad Dr. Graves did the right thing!
Dr. Graves was my wife's colorectal surgeon in 2006 and has provided all of her post follow up care and exams ever since. He may have an awkward personality with a dry sense of humor but I credit him as being one of several great physicians who worked as a team to cure my wife of cancer. We only see him every few years now but our other doctors tell us that he frequently calls to confirm that she is well. He's 5 stars in my book and Austin is fortunate to have him. I'd want him in my corner.
