For the first time in my life, I feel strong! All thanks to Erica at GrassIron. She knows how to push you, build you up, and is always in tune with how you’re feeling and what you’re capable of. This is not your average training gym. They play only good music, there are no mirrors, and, most importantly, no egos. All of the trainers are incredibly kind and genuinely care about your progress. I truly look forward to each visit and seeing the wonderful trainers and gym-goers. If you want to get results in an inspiring and we... read more

This is easily the best gym in Austin. I’ve been coming to GrassIron a little over 2 years now, and feel stronger, healthier, and happier. Everyone here is kind, extremely helpful, and willing to work with you to get stronger. I have never been a gym guy. I’m a long distance runner (seriously, I once quit a gym because they strongly suggested I needed to stop running if I was lifting), but GrassIron has got me squatting and deadlifting well above body weight (and bench isn’t far behind) all while maintaining my regular runni... read more

GrassIron is a wonderful gym. It’s really the only gym I know of where you get custom programs tailored to your specific needs but in a group setting, which means you get community without paying private trainer prices. They have a great setup with loads of equipment and knowledgeable trainers. They’ve totally helped me meet my fitness goals.

The best place! Love the trainers, love the people, love the facilities. Facilities are super spacious and bright, plates and bars are in great condition. They do a great job of creating community, and the staff is super supportive. This has been a great place to start Olympic weightlifting (and dabble in powerlifting once or twice)!

After more workout false starts than I can count, I’ve finally found my place at GrassIron. The format is genius — group sessions where you still get real one-on-one attention. Rachel, Cody, and Elise focus on your individual goals, your form, and even the moves that make you feel awkward. The vibe is the friendliest of any gym I’ve ever been in. People here actually cheer each other on. Yes, it’s an investment — about a car payment for a mid-priced car. But it’s worth it for the body you’ll be driving the rest of your li... read more
