Specialties Grass Master Hydroseeding was established in 2002 in Utah as a grandfather/grandson project (Richard/Chris) to have a bonding experience and to put the old farm equipment to use instead of sitting there after selling a 165 acre farm off in 1998. The first 2 years of hydroseeding were more of a word of mouth that the Reese's were now doing hydroseeding.

Chris was great to work with at the start of our project of seeding about 3 acres of pasture in Oakley. I specifically asked him to make sure the hill got covered so we didn't have erosion. Well, he missed it and it started to erode. I messaged him to let him know he needed to come back up and touch up that area. Through texts, he said he would in a couple of weeks. Update. I contacted them immediately as they requested in there response to my review below and still nothing……. It’s really sad that decent people are becoming as “thin” as hydro seed I recently received! Had some areas that were “washed out” from heavy rain (no fault of grass master) in the instructions that were sent it says to “call with any questions or concerns” I have called and left messages, sent emails with absolutely zero response…..I emphasized that I was not blaming them, and that I didn’t want anything for free... read more
They came out and the equipment kept breaking. When they were done the person gave verbal instructions to water 10 min every 2 hrs after 2 weeks water less often. I asked about fertilization and he said it was not needed because it was in the hydroseeding. After about 1.5 months the lawn looked like the attached photos. We called and never got a call back until I threatened a bad review, they called back within 5 min. They asked if we were following the sent instructions. We were not sent instructions. They said they missed ... read more
Chris has told me 5 times in text messages that he would send me the instructions on how to fertilize and take care of the newly hydroseeded back yard. No communication. My grass is growing in very patchy and I cannot get he company back on the phone to come back out and honor their guarantee.
