wonderful local restaurant with great food, wine and coffee. You can even pick up gourmet groceries and of course wine! Lovely staff. Our go to place in the neighborhood.
A change in management makes for a very different experience. This is no longer a real wine shop- none of the staff have any knowledge of wine and the selection on the shelf to buy has become very generic. It's clear the new owner is looking to capitalize on the work of the previous owner and incredibly friendly previous staff by underpaying the current staff and sort of handwaving at a wine menu. Love Gape + Bean! Hood food, great wine, and nice little gourmet shop!
This place rocks. I'd give them a five star, but they recently switched from opening at 6 am to 7 am. My shift ends at 0700, so I used to grab coffee at 0600. Now, I don't go there as often.
