I would not recommend living in any of the Grant Street Properties. The location may be close to campus, however that does not make up for employees engaging in theft. The company has a team of maintenance workers who have a master key to all properties at all times. The office gave me thirty minutes notice before sending Aaron Smythe, one of their employees, to check on my plumbing due to “high water usage”. RecommendedI have lived in Bloomington for about 15 years and have leased with several different rental companies. Grant is the most pleasant experience I have had. After a not so pleasant experience elsewhere, I did extensive research before leasing again. Grant came out on top, hands down! The folks in the office are accommodating and consistently responsive to tenant needs. I have not had a repair request go unanswered and they are always fixed in a timely manner. Normally, I don't write reviews but I highly recommend Grant Properties. I had an issue late at night and I called their 24 hour maintenance line and they were super helpful. By far my best experience renting!
I stayed with Grant Properties my sophomore year and it was definitely my best living experience during my time at IU. The property itself was well-kept and a very good price for being near Kirkwood. Whenever we had any issues, maintenance was immediately on it and very kind to interact with. Grant Properties' staff were all very relational and responsive. Grant Properties always super responsive, reliable, and everyone on staff was super easy to get along with. As a college student without a lot of time on my hands, it was nice to know that if there was ever a problem they would take care of it asap. I would definitely recommend one of their houses for anyone looking to rent a home!
I hate to even give them a 1! They are very dishonest and cheat their tenants every chance they get! College students have no chance against these "people"! If you are looking for rental properties in Bloomington, IN, I highly recommend you avoid these thieving individuals at all cost. They even refused mediation attempts when we tried to work with them.
