I don't recommend Dr. Venkatesan for plus-sized women. I saw him for 2 years or so before switching doctors, because all he wanted to talk about was my weight. I had questions about my past medical diagnoses and instead of taking the time to explain what they meant, he said "I'm not worried about that" and wrote me a referral for bariatric surgery despite not having tried other options (diet, exercise) first.
