Going in you feel like you're in the wrong place. Once inside, there's a store attached to the restaurant. The food is great. Big portions, awesome service. Everything is clean. We're a family of seven and it was very comfortable. Kids are very welcomed in this place. You can tell it's a local favorite.
First time here so far so good. Country fried steak was good. Service can use some adjustment but since it's new it'll definitely not be a problem. Will go back.
I love Granny’s Diner, food is just like my grandma use to cook for me and my friends! I always look forward to starting my day there. Lee the owner makes you feel like family and always comes to your table to make sure everything is good and the way you want it. The staff is great and friendly
I don't like to complain, but . . . . My husband and I stopped at Granny's last Sunday. Now, we've eaten at Granny's at the Grass Lake Road location, their Johnsburg location and at the Richmond location, which is where we were on Sunday. Yes, it was busy, as Sundays usually are, but not to the point where all the tables were full and the chairs for those waiting for a table as it has been some of the Sundays we've been there. I’m really disappointed to have to write this, because I’ve been coming here since the Antioch location and have always enjoyed it in the past. My boyfriend and I recently came in and stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes, while several employees walked around the dining room. Not one person looked our way, said hello, or made an effort to seat us. It was as if we were completely ignored. After waiting with no acknowledgment at all, we ended up leaving.
