I love Granny’s Diner, food is just like my grandma use to cook for me and my friends! I always look forward to starting my day there. Lee the owner makes you feel like family and always comes to your table to make sure everything is good and the way you want it. The staff is great and friendly
I don't like to complain, but . . . . My husband and I stopped at Granny's last Sunday. Now, we've eaten at Granny's at the Grass Lake Road location, their Johnsburg location and at the Richmond location, which is where we were on Sunday. Yes, it was busy, as Sundays usually are, but not to the point where all the tables were full and the chairs for those waiting for a table as it has been some of the Sundays we've been there. I’m really disappointed to have to write this, because I’ve been coming here since the Antioch location and have always enjoyed it in the past. My boyfriend and I recently came in and stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes, while several employees walked around the dining room. Not one person looked our way, said hello, or made an effort to seat us. It was as if we were completely ignored. After waiting with no acknowledgment at all, we ended up leaving. Had breakfast here waitress forgot the toast. After breakfast told waitress to deduct the order of toast she said she couldn't. When I paid by credit card, I did not give a tip. I signed the card and left. The next day when it posted on my account, the waitress Coleen added 6 dollars on my bill. I went and questioned her. She said she didn't know how that happened.
