Great food and brewery The food here is amazing. The cost is pretty low for the quality, so no complaints there. I think the atmosphere is the best quality about this restaurant by far. It's colorful, vibrant, and you can view the brewery from your table! They also brew really good tasting beer in many different varities from bocks to pale ales. Not so impressed I ordered French onion soup. It was so salty it may as well been brine. I asked if they could tell me how much sodium was in the soup. They had no idea: the 'cooks' did little more than heat up the pre-measured, pre-mixed soup. So they would have to contact 'headquarters' to find out. I did like the atmosphere, but I really need to find someplace where they care enough about their clients to serve food that doesn't lead to long term health problems - and high sodium is a major culprit in high blood pressure.
A great place to eat We have been there several times and gotten wonderful service when we go. The do well with the kids. The food is great. I enjoyed the drink I got there. The steaks are cooked to perfection when we went there. The servers are always very helpful in deciding what to have.
Divine! We always love going to this restaurant. The burgers are top-notch, and don't mess with the fries. Get their home-made chips instead. Best chips in town! Also, a great place for a Sunday brunch. Prices are reasonable, and selection is very good. I'm not a beer drinker, but I hear that the restaurant brews are good also. PROS: Great food, good prices. CONS: So much to choose from!
This place is GREAT!!! I love Granite City and bless the day that they came to CR. The food is the best around and the beer is fantastico! The Northern Lights beer is my personal fave. Whenever I can afford it I always make time to take the trip. The waitresses are some of the best looking as well! PROS: Everything CONS: wait time (sometimes)
Great food! This is one of my favorite places to eat in Cedar Rapids. The food is excellent, and the portions are huge! I can get 2 meals out of what I order. They have interesting specials, and the beer is great. You need to get there early, because there can be a wait, but is it worth it!
Great food This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. The only problem is it can be tough to get in, but I guess that's a good sign. It's one of the few (only?) places in town you can get a buffalo burger, though the patties are obviously frozen and are cooked too well-done. They're good, though. I also like their coleslaw. Could Be Better – I ate at Granite City the other week for lunch with my parents. It wasn't the first time I've eaten here and I've only eaten here a handful of times but I never know what to expect. It goes back and forth, the food is either great or there's something wrong with it. The same goes for the service, I've had an excellent server a couple times and other times my server could care less, which is why I'm only giving them three stars.
