There was nothing bad about my experience, just the opposite. The sales person was knowledgeable, listened to what I wanted, fair price, accommodated a demo close by. Arranged delivery. I would highly recommend Grandpas marine.
My boat broke down on a Holiday weekend and Spencer, the head mechanic, drove 2 hrs to make sure my family was able to enjoy our vacation. I can’t thank him enough and as an owner of several businesses, I understand customer service. It’s great to have excellent employees. Top shelf guys!!!
My father purchased a sea ray from Grandpas in February. They told him that the boat ran fine and there weren’t any issues. Based on THEIR word because it would not be “good business” for them to sell a boat that isn’t running properly my father made the purchase. Took the boat to their home at SML, VA only to find THEY LIED. Couldn’t get it started. Took it to his mechanic. Dead battery, bad starter and bad manifolds on both sides and risers that are leaking and the mechanic can see this has overheated before. All my father... read more

Hi Jennifer, I am sorry that your father had this bad experience with the Used Sea Ray he purchased from us. We used a Sublet mechanic on Smith Mountain Lake to check this boat out for us before we took it in on trade and they gave it a clean bill of health. We know longer use his services. I wish your father would have called us when he noticed there was an issue with the boat. We have offered to drive and pick up the boat and bring it back to Greensboro and fix the issues at no charge. We have been a family owned business ... read more
