Took my truck to a dealer in grand rapids for a known western star recall. They had it a week said nothing wrong and the truck had the wrong build date for the warranty. Took it to stoops in traverse city they only had it for two days and fixed all of the recalls under warranty. Dan and Megan as well as the rest of the crew up there are amazing. From now on that's the only dealer I'll use warranty or not.
Would have been 4 stars (PM service on our motorhome a bit pricey). Reason for 3 stars? Couldn't leave plugged in, turned off fridge to save batteries. Rig was to be done same day. Informed me later that day that they didn't have a part, needed to keep it through the weekend. I emphasized the need to plug it in, physically open the fridge door and turn on the knob to not spoil our food or the very expensive meds. Picked up on Tues. to find the fridge was off! While driving my motorhome to the Traverse City area recently I got the dreaded “low DEF” warning on my dash. I called their Service department and, much to ny surprise, Megan asked if I could bring the motorhome in the following morning! Andrew and Moe worked diligently to find the issue, then worked with Freightliner and Cummins to get the parts overnighted to fix the problem. 600+ miles later and no issues. 🤞. Thanks everyone!
