My husband and I stayed in the Downtown Cottage just behind the Grand Tavern so we walked down last Monday night. I had the lamb, he had the duck. OMGoddess! I can't wait to go back! We had our leftovers last night at home which was almost as good, just not enough! My new favorite fine dining in Eureka!

My wife and I ate here a few days ago. It was the best meal we have had in a long time. My wife got the filet. It was so tender and seasoned perfectly. I had the rack of lamb. It was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. To wrap it up we split the warm chocolate fudge cake with pistachio brown butter ice cream. If it wasn't such a nice restaurant my wife may have licked the plate. Haha. The restaurant staff was attentive to our needs and atmosphere was great. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The cottage we stayed in was very close to the Grand Central Hotel so we walked past their window our first evening and saw what was being prepared from outside. It looked amazing. We already had plans to eat in that night but kept thinking about them for dinner the next night. I will say I am so glad we chose to go in there. The food was amazing! Awesome place for food. Great service. But the best aspect of the place is the entire experience. Last night, after an Art Show, my wife and I stopped by for late appetizers and a glass of wine. The seared scallops were buttery, and perfectly cooked. Crab cakes were generous with the crab, and perfectly seasoned. The best part was that we sat in the foyer, on couches, enjoying Jerry Yester play the piano. He took requests, told stories, and delighted all of the crowd. Excellent drinks and the turf and surf was delicious as always. This was our seventh New Year's Eve at the Grand Tavern Restaurant. They never let us down.
Absolute P E R F E C T I O N...ALWAYS! Definitely a special place with some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. Wish I could afford to eat here a lot more because I probably would every weekend LOL �
