This place is kind of all over the place. Nice, but not too nice. Friendly staff. We were charged for valet but only used street parking (they fixed it eventually). The room was small and laid out very inefficiently. Not enough storage space. Tiny bathroom with a window to the rest of the room. (Very awkward until we discovered the curtain.) We were in a room on one of the highest floors, furthest from the lobby area, but on Friday night we could hear the live music from the lobby bar. Very disappointed with this hotel. We had two major issues during our stay. 1) Room View Misrepresentation We specifically paid for a balcony view room, but were initially given a 2nd-floor room where the view was largely obstructed by the lobby building roof. Nearly half the balcony view was blocked. We had to request a room change and were eventually moved to the 7th floor, which was more in line with what we booked. 2) Serious Cockroach Infestation The biggest concern was the condition of the property. Rooms are nice, but a little run down considering the brand and age of renovations. I really wish hotels would understand that barndoor style doors do not belong on bathrooms. The other odd thing is that while there is a pool it is technically in the restaurant. You are literally 15 feet from people eating their meals while they watch you swim. Just found it strange.
