We arrived at the Grand Hilo Hotel late on Friday, June 26. The next morning, my daughter and I decided to have breakfast at the hotel. We were seated immediately, and our waitress, Teresa, introduced herself with a warm smile. From the moment she greeted us, she was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help. Did not get normal diamond service during our stay. Rooms were subpar most rooms don't have balconies. Front desk service felt like we were interrupting their day. No area for adults around pool it reminded me of a being stuck on a bad carnival cruise line. Food was mid at best. Shout out to tha amazing valet service quick and friendly.
Rooms were nice just a little bit old but very very clean!
The service at this hotel was quite disappointing. I booked an extra night, but the staff told me they could not guarantee that I would be able to stay in the same room. Because of that, I had to take my luggage out and store it myself, then come back at 4:00 PM to check in again. When I returned at 4:00 PM, they gave me the exact same room. service was great but self parking is across the street in a golf course parking lot...for $14 a day. Valet was $39 BUT if your handicap you pay $14 and they valet your car. I would stay here again but it is a little older.
