Great location and excellent amenities. You get free drinks for each day, the restaurant has delicious food and the snorkeling at property is outstanding.

Possibly the worst Hilton hotel I have ever stayed at. The A/C didn’t work even after calling maintenance 3 times during our shortened 2 night stay to repair it. The room was ant-infested with no improvement after it was allegedly sprayed following our complaint. We left a day early because this room was so bad. The apparent homeless encampment next door did not improve the atmosphere. The staff would not offer any compensation for the poor quality of the room.

Jan 2026 Update ... back for Kileaua Episode 41 (so incredible!) and spent the entire week here. Loved our room on the sunset facing 9th floor of the Mauna Kea wing. There's a live feed of the volcano running in the lobby. Staff texted us when they the park service told people to evacuate the park due to tephra fallout. Food and beverage were great (happy hour choices, The Big Island Salad and Hamakua pizza and the mai tai all hit the spot). Resort fee is higher than the hotel next door. This one has no free parking on site. Huge empty lots has been converted to $25 valet parking only. Other hotel still has ample free parking and the rooms are larger and newer, although this is called 4 stars and the other 3.5 stars. To be fair, I see however that some people complained about their room in the hotel next door was dated. I must have been lucky since I had a newer updated room there which was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable.Its in a great location with many stores around the area. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
