The manager Al was super welcoming and checked us in early and the cats were freaking adorable! rooms were clean and there was coffee for guests.
Unsafe, unprofessional, and poorly maintained — avoid at all costs I booked a prepaid stay at the Grand Lake Hotel in Lebanon, CT, for early June 2025 and left immediately upon arrival due to serious safety and security concerns. When I arrived, the office was locked, and I had to wait for the manager while a group of men nearby were loudly arguing and swearing at each other in a parked car. Room wasn't ready upon arrival(reservation made ahead of time)annoying but not a deal breaker. Al was super friendly which made us very comfortable off the bat along with the greeting from the cats which we loved. Remote in room for tv didn't work when we got into the room and needed to switch for a new one. Power went out at about 5am and told us it happens monthly, this really sucked we were hot and nervous and couldn't go back to sleep. Quirky, is the first word for Grand Lake Hotel. First you see from the road is a grand, seemingly newly opened Mediterranean restaurant. Find the entrance that says Office, go around to the back of the facility, you'll see the sign in a cinderblock building, Was warmly welcomed by the staff, who escorted me across the parking lot to the next building, up a ramp and into the landing( inside pool on this floor, up a short set of stairs and what I thought was the room key, opened the door into a hallway of doors.
