Outstanding Western Colorado Corale Concert "All the world sings!" it reminds me of my days in Africa where I served in the Peace Corps and heard beautiful music such as the first two songs! and sorry to see that there is not more diversity in the members of the Corale!
We are, indeed, lucky to have the GJSO (& Guild) organization here in our community. Seeing the Young Artist Competition, tonight, I was reminded of just how much work is being done behind the scenes. Judging by the talented artists they're drawing in, the work is paying off. I'm still upset I missed the performance of Ravel's Piano Concerto (in G). Anyhow, thanks for everything...Even if I would give one tiny vote towards less pops emphasis and slightly more modern/contemporary compositions, it's hard to complain too much.
We enjoyed th Classic 4:Vivid Strongs concert so much! They did a really incredible job! Goosebumps the entire time!! What a treat! We're so grateful to have such talent on the western slope!! Looking forward to the next few shows!
GJSO is an amazing organization, and the people of Grand Junction should consider themselves extremely lucky to have access to such a high-quality Symphony experience. Given the size of our community, you could not ask for more from such an institution. The seasonal concert programs are fresh and fun while attracting musical guests from all over the world.
