Cool old (1901) country pub. Food was good, beer cold and bed soft.
Really lovely old pub , room was clean well presented and had a comfy bed, If you’re chasing peace and quiet this definitely isn’t the spot, very noisy as your accommodation is directly above the pool table and jukebox and it was seriously loud till 12:30pm & then I was jarringly woken up at 7am by the jukebox blasting away again when the cleaning staff started work 🤦♀️🤷♀️ , Food was good service at bar and on Arrival Awesome, Would I stay again Sadly No just to noisy for me
Popped into the Grand for lunch, we ordered at the bar..the Bar attendant was lovely and commuincated well with us ..We sat down in the dining room area ..the atmosphere was nice, dimming lights which gave it a warm feel.. very outdated with furnishings .. I noticed plastic flowers.....plastic is gross!...the room needs real green plants..bring the dining area to life... place local art on the walls...Support your local Art community and hardware with plants! Coming from SA where a Beef Parmy are a staple they were good enough to make up the QLD version of a crumbed steak with parmy topping, and it was great too 😀
