Had a poor experience with whoever answers their phones (guessing they outsource) I couldn’t understand her as her phone system was echoing and she spoke with a very heavy accent. I had a family emergency and asked to cancel the reservation day of. I booked the reservation for 1 night because we needed a place to sleep after driving 12 hours. I saw the pictures online and was excited to see it was actually a best western. When we arrived it was very clear that the pictures do no match reality. I booked a double room, believing it was 2 queen beds; however, it was actually 2 double size beds. My family had 3 rooms rented at the Roosevelt Grand this weekend. We planned on letting kids swim and having pizza and cupcakes for a birthday. We put up one Happy Birthday Banner on the pool fence. No extravagant decorations. There was no one else in the pool area at all. The front desk told us no parties and then put up a sign that stated ‘no parties in the pool area’. I absolutely loved this place. Big hotel with all kinds of cozy rustic sitting areas. Very nice bar/restaurant area with pool tables. My daughter and I had fun playing pool. Loved the full breakfast and the eating area was beautiful like a nice restaurant with different little rooms and levels for privacy and pretty chandeliers. Definitely not like a lot of hotels that have just one room with harsh florescent lighting and hard tables and chairs to sit on. Was cozy and relaxing with booths and regular tables.
