The anesthesiologist who was sent for my procedure, Dr. Michael E. James, is NOT in network with BCBS (for 2 years prior). Why would a company that claims to be in network send an out of network provider??? There is no way to talk to this company. The phone number on Google goes to billing company no longer contracted with them. The number they gave me says they were not contracted when we had our procedure (a year ago). This company’s practices are not within compliance of the No Surprise Act. They are relying on you not knowing your balance billing/surprise billing rights.
My insurance was billed $31,500.00 for an RN anesthesiologist for a simple lithotripsy procedure. My doctor only billed $1890.00 for the procedure. Something is definitely fishy in their billing department. I called my insurance and let them know about it.
