GANC is excellent for hard training - lots of climbing, but not a good choice for beginners. Upper Spirit trails (top of the hill) are better for beginners.
Short version: Horrible customer service(regarding the decisions at the upper level, the people working there were plenty nice) and they clearly are using COVID as an excuse to help their bottom line. Long version: My mom and I wanted to go both cross-country skiing and downhill skiing at Spirit Mountain - two days back-to-back.
