I guess it's just the attitudes ? I'm very thankful to be able to have WIC but when i called to find out if i could switch my daughters formula i don't know what nutritionist it was but she was very rude, she told me no so i asked if i need her pediatricians doctors note or something ?? she still said no it was just her tone .but she's about to turn 6 months so she will have baby food. These people were not kind or compassionate. Some people need help and they said I was lying about my situation which is already trying as a mother who needs help and as government workers they should be here to do their job and be kind and serve the public to the best of their abilities . They have a job because of people like us. Do better . You chose this job .
The Granbury WIC clinic is the BEST clinic I have ever been to! Rachel at the front desk was so sweet, always answers the phone on the FIRST try, and does not let you leave without having all questions answered and huge smiles on your face! I never feel like I’m a bother like most locations I’ve been to. I was transferring from another state that made it SO HECTIC, never ever answered the phone, and you couldn’t go inside without an appointment, but this location is the exact opposite!! Applied and never heard back. I didn’t think we would get it this time around, but wanted to try and see anyways. Spoke with someone the first day briefly and that was it. I called and left messages and no one ever returned my call. Never even made it to filling out anything to see if we qualified, they just completely ghosted me.
I’ve been here once since moving here. They were so amazing and helpful. The best wic office I’ve been too. I didn’t feel like I was a bother or annoying them. Like I’m made to feel when calling or going to my old wic office. When I called I wasn’t put on hold for 45mins-hours like my old office. I really appreciate their kindness and support. Even with covid they handled everything smoothly. I have another appointment coming up and will update if anything changes. But I’m just so grateful for that experience with this offic... read more
