Very Disappointed – We decided to try Granda's after seeing it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. What a mistake. My wife and kids ordered the french toast which was average at best. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. This was the worst biscuits and gravy dishes I have ever tried. I ended up eating three bites and waiting for the waitress to check in to see how things were. This place rules – The food is great, the portions are huge, and the bakery has the best cakes I have every tasted. The icing is amazing. Jennifer is the best waitress ever....very friendly, quick, and efficient. Any of the bad reviews below must be expecting 5 star dining for a $15 meal, but this is a diner, so go here if you want good food, reasonably priced, not atmosphere.
Haven't ordered a cake in a while, called today for a plain 10 inch round birthday cake with just the usual flowers $40.00. Are you kidding me???
While we were visiting the area, our hotel manager said that we had to go try Grampa's - after all it's where the locals eat. We went and were very well taken care of. My husband is Gluten intolerant and the waitress was very helpful in making sure his meal was what he could eat. The food arrived as ordered and hot and tasty. We were so impressed with the meal and customer service we went ahead and ordered lunch to go! We felt the prices were very reasonable and the staff very friendly.
50+ years - they must be doing something right! Great food and wonderful experience. We went because it was featured on Diners Driveins & Dives...Guy Fieri is the best. Nothing too fancy but everything we ordered was delicious (blueberry pancakes, western omlette, biscuits & gravy). Nice atmosphere (old-time; nostalgic), everybody was friendly and service was good even though it was VERY busy. Something different from same old corporate restaurants and chains. This hit the spot.
horrible breakfast – The sign said to seat yourself,which we did. then we sat there and sat there. Then finally a server asked, have we been served? we said no.then she yell to the other server why didnt you get these customers? So she took our order, then brought us our food, it looked like crap. Over rated – The food is disgusting, the price is ok but when u eat shit, u don't wanna pay a lot usually. The taste of the fried chicken was awful, the gravy too gooey.... seriously, don't go there because guy fiery went there....
I went to grampas for lunch. I ordered the turkey club. I also had a drink. I went to the bakery and got some baked goods.
