Every visit is filled with explanations, review of care and treatment, recommendations and decisive action. I consummate professional with excellent patient management. I am very impressed and pleased with the care I received!
All my interactions with Virginia Oncology have been great. The wait time is minimal, and everyone is very polite and professional. I would recommend them to anyone who is dealing with a tough diagnosis, like cancer.

It was a very scary experience to be referred to an oncology office. Dr. Nielsen made me feel right at home and was very compassionate and listened to my concerns. He communicated whenever I emailed him through the portal and helped me to do all the tests and things I needed to do to finish the course. It was a very satisfactory experience!
Dr. Nielsen knows his field of information well and allows for questions accordingly. He presents information in a very stoic manner. There is the feeling you are allowed only a certain amount of time in the office before you have had a chance to fully process all the information given/discussed. However, he will respond later to questions asked after the session has ended.
