I asked for a quote appointment for my wedding dress alterations, I showed up and said I was there for a consultation and quote, and at the end of the appointment she failed to tell me about a $40 fitting charge. “Oh? I didnt tell you?” No, you didnt tell me it was $40 for a 20 minute QUOTE appointment. I went to 7 seamstresses and not one charged me except for her. I can’t speak to the quality of her tailoring but I’m not happy I got a surprise charge at the end of the appointment.
Very unhappy! She overcharged me by a lot for a simple alteration. When I asked for a refund and took the unaltered dress back she damaged the dress taking the safety pin out. When I brought it to a new tailor it was $78 less and he showed me where she damaged it using the wrong pin.
When I first came I expressed what I wanted and was basically told that i didn’t need it for my pants and that they would fix it so that I could have a better fit. now $90 later for pants and they still don’t fit the way I asked for them to. They fit exactly like I never took the pants here in the first place and that took 2 weeks for her to do. Don’t waste your money.
Grace was very kind, but ruined my dress beyond repair and refused to cover the replacement cost. I had to find a new dress with one week until my wedding. I have withheld this review in an attempt to let the business make it right but they have refused. Avoid at all costs. There was a structural hole in the dress under the breast and the pads inserted stuck out and were visible. I sobbed the moment I got home to put my dress on.
Grace is exceptional! I brought in an off the rack wedding dress that needed a lot of alterations! She worked her magic and made it fit amazingly! On top of that, she kept adjusting it as we went because I kept losing some weight. Grace is phenomenal! You don’t find people as “graceful” and homed in on their craft that often anymore! She truly has a specialty and she won’t disappoint. I 100% recommend her to make your dress special and beautiful for your special day or any other time! I love Grace and you will too!!!
