In order to receive care, they told my sister that she had to choose to terminate her TPN and not replace her drainage tube. In other words: if she wanted to receive comfort care, she had to take her own life through malnutrition or infection. I was beyond shocked when I heard this from my sister. As a chaplain and a death care worker myself, I know more than most what kind of care is needed for patients and their families as they deal with processing incredibly difficult circumstances. I am so impressed by the entire staff. They have treated my mother-in-law like one of their own. Best care and concern and couldn’t have asked for a better Hospice team! Thank you everyone who helps our family.
My mom loves the entire group at Grace Hospice! She has been very well cared for and she loves the attention the team gives her.
