They need to improve in MANY MANY WAYS. I paid over $60 for a contact exam and have waited over 6 weeks for the trial lens to arrive and STILL they don't have them and don't know whats going on... REALLY??? Come on! On Oct. 29th was our appointment and they say they will call in 7-10 business days with the trial pair which would have been Nov. 13th why is it DEC. 14th and still they don't have them and NEVER called stating why. RecommendedNow I will say it has it's pro's. They are courteous and have a generous array of glasses. We found a good pair for my son, at a decent sale priced package. Here are the con's, if you go with a preexisting eye issue (such as diabetics) it can be problematic. One of the doctors there, codes it as a "medical exam" and your eye insurance will not cover that. My exam was on October 22 and today December that they give me my glasses 2 months almost waiting
My grandson‘s eyeglasses were to be finished in two weeks we waited four weeks until they were finally completed this is ridiculous my grandson is 14 and could not see without his glasses intern I also ask every week for four weeks when I called to have my contact prescription they told me I could pick it up when I came in to pick his glasses up every week they told me this I went in to pick up his glasses tonight they told me my contact prescription was expired and they couldn’t give it to me this is the third bad experienc... read more

This is for the one on Oriana Rd. in N.N., VA. One of the worst experiences I have had in 50 some years of wearing glasses. The exam was good. But when I picked up my glasses was terrible. I was a little nervous with covid when I picked out my glasses. The assistant told me they looked fine. Today when I picked them up I noticed they were to big for my face. Everyone from the doctors to the people that help with the glasses are wonderful with kids!
Extremely rude staff! I have been to many MyEyeDoctor office and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. The customer service was terrible and when I asked a question one of the staff rudely stated ‘I’ve been doing this for 30 years’. There are my other offices to go to. I would recommend any other office than Thurmont.
