Texas Governor is great! One of my grandmothers was a Texan. She was from San Jose, Texas, a little town now in the City of El Paso. Her name was Heribertha Calderon Esparza. She was married to my grandfather Francisco Pedraza Rodela, at El Paso County Office I think in 1907. Governor Abbott, I am a huge supporter of yours. I believe you have accomplished great things for Texas. My question is, why is my 10 year-old son stressing about a STAAR test he and his fellow 4th graders will take on 3/29, which will decide, regardless of his A & B grades, whether or not he passes the 4th grade? Why are his teachers having to take away from valuable class time to "teach to the test" and give 4 hour practice STAAR tests? Please do something about this ridiculousness NOW.
