RecommendedI love me some Grocery. The staff is top notch, and the atmosphere is really cozy. It’s like eating a lazy Saturday lunch on your back porch with friends no matter what time or day. The food never disappoints, and the fries are delicious and hand cut! Definitely give this a place a visit.
I just couldn't believe how dirty their Salt and Pepper shakers are ..and Condiment bottles too ..such a small thing to get cleaned . Didn't like to touch without using my napkin ...but my sandwich was ok ..

Government Street Grocery is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is GREAT, but the food is even better! I highly recommend stopping by and ordering a specialty burger! I will be back!

LOVE and miss government street grocery. I’ve been on so many dates here with my gf and have had so many good memories here with friends and family, including celebrating a birthday here. There’s just something about government street grocery that brings me so much happiness even when it’s packed with people (like back in the day.) Definitely think they have one of the best, if not the best, fried chicken baskets with amazing fries. Also love their veggie burger, roast beef poboy, fried pickles, fried okra, and sweet tea!
