It's a little dated but so far I haven't had any bad experiences there. Seems like people are upset with it being closed for various reasons but it's a free pool. If this one is closed you can go to Givens and it's probably a 4 min drive away. I don't understand people complaining that a free thing would be busy at peak times? Have you never done anything ever in life? 4th of July at Barton springs was an hour wait but you wouldnt dare complain about that gem.
I'm glad we have a pool in the neighborhood, not so glad for it to close earlier than other public pools for their so- called Swimming team?? When did EAST AUSTIN get a Swim team... ??? This pool not meant for the original Austinite Families... And Lifeguards are rude!
They were open and when my child was walking in they told my child and I that the pool was only for the apartment complex and not for public. We left.
