good food – After a long break in san diego we had great dinner in san diego at gourmet indian an indian restaurant at downtown. the food was amazingly good and the lamb rogan josh and the lamb frankiee my fav here and the cocktail i like here is bloody mary which was fine the service was good enough and the CD they gave me is a good remembrance of mine.

Indian food at u – recently i had great dinner at the gourmet india in downtown and the food we ate were paneer saag, veg korma, mushroom masala, crab cake and the lamb makhni with the cocktail bombay sangria

great dinner food – great food, fine service, excellent place to hang out, we had a dinner with chicken saag, lamb makhni and mango lassi all are awesome and the music cd they gave is very pleasing and the service was quite good and the decor was extraordinary. A little bit minus is with parking it is in horton plaza beside the restaurant its not a problem the experience will overcome every thing over here.

best indian food in town! – Great sauce, the lamb makhni is the best I have ever had. The sauce is rich, full, buttery, moderately spicy and just wonderfully balanced. This is the only place to eat indian food, none come close. You can even taste the chicken tikka masala and the sauce just compliments it so well. I have eaten at other indian restaurants and the food is bland and dry. The food here is excellent. I took an indian friend of mine to dine here and he told me it was so good, almost as good as his mother's cooking.... read more

GOURMET...HARDLY – OK... it's authentic in that it's owned and operated by Indians but it is not gourmet. Just passable. OK but low on the sc ale of what indian food should be. The best i can say it that it's not horrible. PS- Don't you find it interesting that the 2 rave reviews that followed mine have NEVER reviewed another restaurant? Sounds like a put-up job to me.
