Got Kosher? has a new menu (in-house cured pastrami; homemade rye); a new loyalty program card (free challahs, lunches and dinners)... they have not had sushi or chicken wrap for over a year...they are famous for their prize-winning challah, authentic French-Tunisian cuisine and fat sandwiches that feed two.
The most horrible experience! The waitress was VERY rude, no smiles, not accommodating to a request, omitting an item from my meal but adding more of another item included in the meal, said, NOPE, WE CAN'T DO THAT! I ended up ordering another menu item. My daughter did not like the sandwich she ordered&wanted something else instead, the waitress said NO WE CAN'T DO THAT! Not great – Food is inconsistant. I usually order a nicoise lunch at both the old restaurant AND the NEW restaurant. I went for dinner once and tried to order the nicoise salad and it was soarly dissapointed. It wasn't not even the same salad and they skimped on a lot of the ingredients! When I asked about it the said they had a "night crew" and a "day crew" that do different things with the food. I dont care who prepares it, I just want my usual salad! Kosher on another level – the small kosher deli on pico (a little hard to find) is the best la kosher food i've had so far. i love their pretzel challah my family buys on shabbat dinner, its sooo good! and the middle eastern/moroccan salads they sell in the case are really tasty. love coming here for dinner, definitely recommend it. Hope they expand!
I can't believe it's kosher1 – Really! Excellent food. Fresh. Healthy. I really like the chicken wrap and tunisian sandwich. Barbeque brisket was excellent. Good sushi, too. Great find for the LA kosher community. Nice folks and good service, too.
Don't Believe the Lie; Best Gourmet Restaurant quality food for takeout prices!!! – What can I say regarding the previous post...I called the RCC; there is no claim that has ever been filed. Best Kabob – Hmmm I had the most delicious chicken kabob with garlic sauce. Their menu has from panini sandwiches to fresh sushi and tasty food to go!
