He is patient, but still cuts to the chase, because he actually listens to you
Dr. Gossinger is a great doctor. He was wonderful to talk to and has a great disposition. His secretary, and practice in general do not share that same outlook. It is a cash only practice, and the secretary is incredible crude, mean and doesn't know how to deal with patients in this line of work. I would recommend going to another doctor, even though the actual experience with the doctor was fantastic, dealing with his staff makes it not worth the effort.
Dr Gossinger has a keen intellect, is very perceptive yet quite kind. He has a tremendous knowledge of pharmacology and stays constantly up to date on new medications. I have been seeing him for 18 years for severe depression and PTSD and he has brought me a very long way; from not leaving my room to being able to socialize and care for myself. He has never put me down or denigrated me. He is always hopeful for a better tomorrow.
His demeanor is very low key, but he always reviews notes, seems to know who I am and what my needs are. Responsive to pharmacy management. Understands addiction and personalities associated with that disease.
