I went to Goshen Orthopedics for PT after finding out I had a fracture in my L2 vertebrae. Allison, Megan and Bertha took special care to teach me proper form and exercises to strengthen my core to support my back. After 4 weeks of PT I'm amazed how much better I am doing. Great facility!-Vonda
Initially I came to see Dr Houseman after breaking my ankle and Goshen Hospital told me it was just a small chip fracture. Fortunately Dr Houseman was intuitive to see the lack of mobility and ordered additional xrays which were far more sharp than the hospital's. It showed I had a pretty severe talus fracture. He spent the time to personally wheel me back from my xray and wrap my ankle while sending me for a stat CT scan. If I could give zero stars I would! I went there for my toe, waited over an hour and then got into the room and didn’t even get to see the podiatrist. The CCMA even asked me if I had been seen by him before and I told her no. A few minutes later an NP with a horrible attitude walks in to address my concern. Then she proceeds to tell me the podiatrist doesn’t have time because the procedure would take 30 minutes… after I had been waiting an hour like everyone else. Dr. Nick DeFauw goes above and beyond caring for his patients in office and out! He never judges or rushes patients, he listens and actually cares for the people and their pains/problems. He's such a kind and friendly individual, and is such a huge part of the Goshen community. Utilized walk-in ortho for some joint pain that had been going on for 3 months. Didn’t even get to see an orthopedist. It was a problem that would never show up on x-ray, but that was an expected visit service. The recommended PT could not be started until after an evaluation that was over 2 weeks out from the walk-in visit. The antiinflammatory prescribed provided no relief despite notifying them that ibuprofen and naproxen were ineffective. This visit was a complete waste of time and resources.
