Went to Gosh Yarn It for the second time yesterday….walked in to people knitting around a table…thought I might be interrupting a class…nope… knitters discussing knitting while knitting…lots of positive reinforcement and smiling faces. I couldn't find this shop. The building with the sign in front had a sign saying they moved next door. I went all around the building next door, and I didn't see any doors for Gosh Yarn It. It's disappointing, I was looking forward to checking it out. I don't know if they closed, or if they just don't have good signage to find it.
I visited several years ago (I was visiting my brotherall the way from South Carolina) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The yarns were beautiful and the selection was great. I always get a couple of skeins from the local hand dyers and I was not disappointed. They were gorgeous. I had a hard time picking out which ones to buy.
Stopped by this shop after dropping my son off at college. The staff was so welcoming and was happy to share information about local yarns/dyers. I'll definitely be stopping in for more on my visits to Wilkes!
